My next review and reaction will be to In the Forest by Edna O’Brien. Based on the murders of Imelda Riley, her son, and Father Joe Walsh by Brendan O’Donnel. I’m currently halfway through this book, and I’m loving every page, I have been a long time listener of True Crime podcasts, and I hope to do my own research on this case and see how O’Brien wove her narrative around it. One of the more fascinating elements of In the Forest is the fractured identity of Michen. A review of Truman Capote’s In Cold Blood will likely follow.
